This Sunday I will be talking about feeling ostracized.
Why am I going to be talking about this? Because sometimes the world feels like an ostracizing place.
Even with social media and its seeming hyper-connectedness I can still feel alone. Thus, it is something to talk about. It does feel evergreen, after all, the subjects of isolation, community, tribalism, solitude, etc.
It’s funny when people think you’re a part of the ‘cool crowd’ and you yourself feel the opposite.
Why do they think you’re part of the ‘cool crowd’ in the first place? Probably because of the way you look or the way you dress.
And what is the ‘cool crowd’ anyway?
Does anybody actually know? Or is it just a feeling?
It must have to do with our primal nature and yearning for the tribe.
